Alarm Response Security: 2 Important California Safety Agency Protocols You Should Know

Alarm Response Security's main job is to respond urgently to alarm triggers, especially if there is an intrusion or emergency. However, all personnel in this unit adhere to procedures and protocols for each security alarm response.

Reasons for Alarm Response Security Protocols

Alarm response procedures are for security personnel to understand each type of alarm, the cause of an alarm, and the time it takes for them to be onsite. The procedures also help our clients know what to do and the keypads to use in an emergency. This information, passcode, and a complete contact list are available at the time an alarm system is installed on your property.

  1. Alarm Response Standard Procedure

Once our alarm response security personnel receive a signal, they immediately call the property to verify the alarm. We allow a maximum of between 6 to 7 rings. The person at the other end of the call might respond.

We prompt the person to identify themselves with the passcode and tell us the cause of the alarm. We will also continue to receive updates on the situation from our contact list. Sometimes, there is yet to be a response within seven rings from the premises, so we swiftly dispatch our team.

  1. Panic Alarm Response Procedure

One of the ways our clients can activate the panic alarm signal is by pressing a specific button on the keypad. The procedure for this alarm will have the security personnel call the premises immediately. They will engage the individual on the other end.

But suppose there is no response within the first minute, or they can't directly verify the person on the premises. In that case, we notify the police and the key holder, advising them to cooperate with the police. We will also hold the alarm for 30 minutes or more, following up on the process.

Conclusion

Our alarm response security system acts upon incidents such as intrusion and emergencies. However, some clients might also have other requirements, and we will consider that at the time of installation.
